Here's any interesting question....
... this Pz. IV D and E tanks that received the up-armour kits, the hull front and sides and lower hull panels, where the lower hull panels bolted directly over the existing rivets? As can be seen on my model below, the lower hull featured many bolts, these where on the Ausf. D too. If so then there should be a slight "gap" between the hull and the additional armour plate.
Has anyone see any photographs showing this?
