Hi guys,
There were two versions of the command Panther, Sd.Kfz 267 and 268 with respectively FU 8 and FU 7 radio sets beside the FU 5 set they used both.
Can anyone explain what the difference between these vehicles is? Were they used on different command levels within the Panzer organisation? Or did they have a different fucntion,eg. communication with artillery units, luftwaffe, infantry, etc.? Can't find any data on this.
I also like to know up untill when these vehicles were build. One source claims february 1945, would that be correct and if so, would that be the case for both types?
Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.
