For that turret, I would use the armored exhaust deflectors, based on two things:
1. There are photos of these deflectors in use in the ETO, I forget the exact vehicle type though. Typically there was about a three month lag between factory and field, so they would've been installed by early February at the latest.
2. The MWO to install the armored deflectors came out in April 1945, so even if not installed on March production vehicles they easily could've been installed by the depot before issue.
Although nothing has surfaced in my research to say when these were first applied, I would say that it is reasonable and logical that the last M4A3(75)Ws, produced in March 1945, had armored exhaust deflectors.
