I assume you have seen the close up pic of PlusModel's L3000 4x4 conversion set on their own site?

You are right, there are differences in appearance between the b/w pic you sent and the PlusModel version.
Unfortunately my own library also does not contain very much on German trucks from WW-II but as I said before, unless someone else with better knowledge here on TL joins in with more information I assume that the differences are simply due to the one cab being the 2 wheel drive and the other one being of the 4x4 cab.
