GOOD NEWS!! I just purchased Issue 18 of the Allied-Axis photo journal which has a section on the M12. It also has 4 decent pictures of an M30. Of which 2 are views looking down at the left and right rear quarters.
It also states the vehicle is at the Patton Museum, Ft. Knox, Kentucky and also US Army Transportation Museum. Page 48 states the vehcile was built by the Pressed Steel Car Company, so that might be a source to acquire drawings or technical data.
