| The Eastern Express KV-85 track is the correct width (and oddly, their earlier KV-1 and -2 kits are fitted with this track as well, so they are incorrect). The track was narrowed starting with the KV-1S series, which provided the basis for the KV-85 and SU-152. There was a track link design with curved edges, but more common was the square-edged track seen later on the Stalin series. The so-called lightweight track with alternating full links (with centerguides) and half links (without centerguides) was common on the KV-85 and SU-152. This type is available from Model Kasten. I don't blame you for wanting to ditch the kit tracks, as they are stiff and edged with flash. The leftover Trumpeter tracks can be used to upgrade other EE kits, or even Tamiya's. |
