You'll find a photo in the Osprey Warrior series book US army Tank Crewman. It has his first tank, Thunderbolt V (an M4), then Thunderbolt VI (M4A3 76w), then Thunderbolt VII (M4A3E8). His biography, "Thunderbolt" by Lewis Sorley also has the same shot of Thunderbolt V. And color plates can be found in various Concord books, including US Tank Battles in France, Battle of the Bulge, Sherman Tank Vol 1, and I think Sherman Vol 2.
