| I obtained a copy of Albin Irzyk's "He Rode Up Front for Patton" from the inter-library loan program. It's a good read. Irzyk commanded the 8th TB, sister unit to Abrams' battalion. In his thoughts, some of Abrams' fame was overblown during WW2. I don't think they were sour grapes but Irzyk just offers a different perspective of the 4th AD's joint successes (including the other units besides Abrams') during the war. |
