Hello Paul,

Sorry I can't shed any light on this Luchs' unit either but definitely agree on your analysis that this picture is taken in Russia.

There was mud and snow in other theatres of war too, obviously, but the crossed gable front on the one o'clock position from the Horch(?) is absolutely confirming Russia.

Hope someone else comes up with a more solid answer to your query.
