| Subject: | Schwere Pz.Abt 503 Tiger II on Parade | |

Perhaps many of you have seen still photos or even the newsreel footage of Schwere Pz.Abt 503's Tiger IIs on parade. Here (http://www.panzernet.net/panzernet/fotky/tanky/pz6b/014.jpg) you can see a shot from this parade, but of the wrong (left side).
My question is, does anyone know what is the large square sheet of metal with the notch cut out that is stored on the spare track link hooks on the right rear of several turrets? It appears to be flat, about 60 or so cm on a side with a half-circular notch cut into one side maybe 40 cm in diameter. I can easily make such a device from sheet plastic, but I wonder what this thing is? Anyone know? |
