Curtis:
I remember seeing those tanks in Steve Zaloga "US Tank Battles in MTO". If I remenber correctly they are M4A1 (just like you said with cast hulls) and the turret top is white. Unfortunatly I do not have the book with me at the moment so this information is what I remember and may not be accurate. As soon as I get the book I could post more information.
