Tim,

What you describe as an idea sounds like a kind of a "rolling resupply". This kind of resupply of the three critical items...fuel, ammo, and food would normally take place only a tactical bound behind the most forward troops. Therefore speed and coordination is of most importance. Given that, the jeep crew would for sure be helping out the M10 crew...taking the rounds out of the tubes, handing them to the crew, etc.

In a diorama setting I would suggest having the jeep and M10 parked along a tree line with the jeep in the foreground, then the M10, and then higher trees in the background. This gives a layered balance to the scene and it is realistic as resupply would take place with some cover so the enemy can't see what is being done.

The M10 is a great AFV to show being resupplied with the open turret. You can easily set the figures up to have a natural flow from the ammo in the jeep trailer to a figure handing the ammo up to a crew member to another crew member handing rounds to another crew member stowing them in the turret.

Just some ideas...build it as you want.
