| Subject: | Duece & a Half Trucks question | |
| Date: | Mar 22, 2007 |
| From: | Edward Hall | |
| I was a small lad during WW2 living in Oakland California about a block from the Peterbuilt Plant on Mac Arthur Blvd. All during the war they were making duce and a half trucks which would go out of there every few days in a convoy of about 40 trucks to a depot somewhere. I have never seen any reference to any Peterbuilt duce and a half’s either in model form or on this site. Were they making them as GMC’s with all GM parts or were the just missed somewhere along the line? |
