| Subject: | M36B1 Suspension--Straight or Raised? | |
| Date: | Mar 23, 2007 |
| From: | Tim Streeter | |
I'm in the middle of painting and weathering this TWS/AFV Club conversion, and it dawns on me that since I've built this with the AFV Club-supplied straight arm suspension, Shermans hull at this time (Oct-Dec 1944) were probably getting the raised arm suspensions. Is that correct? Or can I chalk up the earlier suspension to the inventory laws of first-in, last-out?
And to avoid another possible mistake, am I correct in assuming that these hybrids would be marked with the regular tank destroyer 40XXXXX serial number as opposed to a 30XXXXX?
Thanks,
Tim |
