I knew about the first 20 Pershings' going to 3rd and 9th Armored, and then subsequent ones going to 2nd AD, along with a handful going to a few Army/Marine units in late war Pacific Theater. I did happen to find a few pics of 2AD Pershings', but again like other pics, the engine decks are obscured by equipment.

So the final outcome is, I decided to go with a Korean War Marine Pershing', as seen in photos I have from Sept. 2-4 1950. Unfortunately, the markings on these tanks greatly differ from what's descibed in the instruction manual.
