I have a few books on the Maus (Darlington, couple of Japanese books, Spielberger, etc...) but couldn't find anything on this area. Paradoxically
there is much more stuff on the E-100 driver's area...
I'll have another look as I think I saw this information somewhere...

If you get the Eduard set, the grilles are wrong, get the Yoshida designs set instead (I think there is my review here on Track-Link).
