Hi Kimihide,
I went for the "rounded bottom" on my Legend M4 Baldwin early M4 DV conversion. I used parts both from DML (the rounded underside) and Tamiya (the straight part with the two small engine access doors). I think this type of lower hull rear applies for both early M4 DV and M4A1 DV. The M4 Baldwin DV at Overloon museum in the Netherlands has this type. It also has 1) the rounded type air filter boxes, 2) the ammo loading hatch on the right side of the turret welded shut by a small plate and 3) welded add-on armor plates on turret side and in front of the DV slots. The tank was in US service and fatally hit during fightings in late autumn 1944.
And ...don't forget the rivets on the lower hull sides of the early M4A1 DV comparable with the M3 Lee tanks.
Hope this helps.
Happy (scratch) building,
Hugo |
