Stirling,
sorry to say, but you are wrong.
Although some HE shells were the same, the rest of the ammo was different.
The reason might be, that the Flak 41 was a Rheinmetall Borsig Design, while the Pak 43 and 43/41 was a Krupp Desing that was based on the Flak / Pak 42 project.
As written above, the cartridge of the Flak 41 was longer but somewhat smaller.
Check out number 4 from the right: 88mm Flak 41
number 3 from the right: 88mm Pak 43 L/70
number 2 from the right: " empty case
the picture is from the Encyclopedia of German AFV of WW II by Chamberlain, Doyle and Jentz. I just call it my wish list.
Anyway, there is no known aftermarket ammunition set for the Flak 41 so to use the AFV set for the PaK 43 might be the best, but not an accurate solution. But modelers usually are not too picky, are they?
