Paul,

As you and Roger have surmised, I belieev all Rams had rivetedghulls. While actually seeing the lower hull clearly enough to establish it for a fact is almost impossioble, I'm pretty sure they didn't shift production methods to welding. Even the transmission and differentials of the latest Rams was still based on the Lee and not on the Sherman.

I am in exactly the same place on my Ram Kangaroo (Using the Formations OP hull on top of the old Italeri M4A1 lower hull). A sea of rivets is in my future and I have started to lay out the locations prior to adding them. Luckily, though, I am building a diorama for a Vet and he wanted the 'Roo shown in action. Chicken that I am, I decided to show it in the muck of the spring of 1945 so the entire lower hull is going to be in the mud. That, along with a lot of sprayed muck means that I've only got to add about half the normal amount of rivets.

Good thing, too, as, after thnning out the resin hull to something closer to scale thickness, I am in the process of building a complete 'Roo interior.

Paul
