My guess from reading the books by Patrick Delaforce and noting the relatively clean look of the vehicle and the exposed position of the Commander would be that it was taken on the ranges near Ypres in Belgium shortly after the Comets had been accepted and the Brigade was undergoing gunnery practice. I have seen a similar photo taken in snow at that time.
