There were many differences between the 76mm armed tank and 85mm armed tank hulls.
Most would not care about the small differences on the belly pan. The weight of the new gun turret meant some changes such as a second set of road wheel dampers (the Dragon 76mm gun tanks have two since they used the 85mm lower hull), and some variants had slightly different road wheel arms (this is barely seen and can simply meant different foundries provided them).
The hull top had stiffeners added since the turret ring was larger. This also meant modifications to the castings over the vents on the engine deck to allow clearance for the larger diameter. The shape of the forward tower spring covers (a Christie suspension feature) also changed a bit.
The photo below shows which damper to remove if converting a Dragon 85mm hull to the 76mm hull. The kit in the photo is 1/72nd scale.
A great investment are the Wydawnictwo Militaria books (and the Air Connection/Armageddon book if you can afford it).
