| Subject: | Question about book on German snipers | |

Hi guys,
Just help me to decide. Besides AFV modelling I'm also interested in history of snipers and their weapons. I have an opportunity to order a book on German sniping. It's called "German sniper bible" among sniping enthusiasts. It's "German sniper 1914-1945" by Peter R. Senich. This is 470 pp hardcover title with 600+ photos showing the complete history of German sniping from it's dawn to the year 1945. I know from reviews it's very technical, full of photos of sniper weapons, optical sights, tactics, camouflage methods and such. The only question is: does this title show enough photos of snipers in action and also a satisfactory number of battle accounts from veterans? Though I'm a fan of history of snipers I'm not in need of a book usable for firearms collector only. I have other books on sniping such as "Out of Nowhere" and "Military sniper since 1914" by Martin Pegler and I found these two to be OK for me. That book by Senich is also very expensive. I don't live in the U.S. so I don't have an opportunity to shuffle through pages of "German sniper" in a bookshop to make the purchase decision. So are there many action photos of snipers in that book? Is it useful for modellers? Anyone there who has this book in his/her home library please share me any information about contents of the book by Senich. This will help me to make choice between this book and "Germany's Panther Tank" by T. Jentz.

Help guys,
