Piotr,
Given the generally solitary and secretive nature of a sniper's job, I would suspect there are very, very few true "in action" photos of them in any book. I would further speculate that a healthy percentage of any "in action" photos that do exist would have been posed. The exception to that would be pics of snipers used in a defensive role at fixed bases, such as some of Carlos Hathcock's well known shots with scoped .50cal MGs on tripods from firebases in Vietnam.
ANY of Tom Jentz's books are pretty much worth the price of admission. He is a thorough researcher who relies solely on primary source documents (rather than other authors' books) and crawling around, on, and always if possible IN surviving examples of the real thing. He's also quite a character to meet in person!
