Hi Piotr, I have the book you are talking about and it has been worth it's weight in gold to me through the years. As a firearms collector, reenactor and modeller it has a wealth of information. The book goes in depth with the equipment, tactics, and mindset of the German sniper theology. True, it is more informative for the collector of these fine rifles than, say, a modeller. But the photos from the sniper schools and training, as well as, the few combat photosmake for interesting subjects in themselves. If you want to purchase it strictly for modelling, it may disapoint you. If you want to learn more about the German sniper and his equipment, it will fascinate you. I will warn you about other so called "experts" who write books on equipment and methods, they don't know the difference between a true sniper and a infantryman in a defilade position.
If you have the extra cash and want to learn more about this exciting and fascinating facet of the German military history, snatch it up!
Regards, Ed |
