Hi all, some time back on an other forum a question was asked about the US Convoy flags used on the Red ball Express , I now have the definitive answer . The pole size is 18mm in diameter and 90cm in length , varnished wood , flag is made from a course canvas ,its size is 39.5 cm square ; each is marked with a QM code , all poles are marked MC-270, Red flag is MC-273 , Yellow is MC-274, Green is MC-275. They are in a sandy khaki case which has a rounded flap closed by a standard US press stud and at the rear there is 20 wide by 60cm strap for fastening onto the vehicle when not is use. All the measurements are taken from an un issued example dated 1942. Hope this helps out cheers ian
