Unless it's a large mortar the biggest threat from mortar fire is damage to the engine or engine radiator. Most games have a hit point system for vehicle damage which is completely unrealistic.
If you want accurate ballistic modeling try the Combat Mission series from Battlefront.com or Steel Panthers World at War which is a free download. Between the two Combat Mission is the most accurate. |
