The 3 best references are:
** The Sherman Tank by Honeycutt
**US Armored "Funnies" #7052 Concord Press by Steven Zologa
and for an excellent model reference which shows a detailed model in progress of the wire tubing - Osprey Modeling Manual #14 - The M4 Sherman by Rodrigo Hernandez Cabos & John Pringent.
