I believe that most bergepanthers were actually unarmed. However many of them did have some weapon attatched, usually a machine gun. If you use google do an image search for bergepanther and you can get some ideas of what the Germans really did with them. From what I have seen the most common weapon was the mg-34. I'm also quite sure that they also used Chewbacca's favorite weapon when he was on the death star, the mg-42 also, just that I see the mg-34 used most often when a weapon is mounted on the vehicle.
