Most of the pictures i've seen on the net, and in books, there is no weapon attached, and i think there is many explanation and guesses why.
I think that the bergpanther had a mg around the radio seat and that it maby sometimes came to use when the ARV was engaged. I belive the priority to the bergepanther can't be the kill of the enemy, it must be the recovery of the tank as it result to get out of enemy firing range and to get job done.
The ARV:s have a high value in the eye of the enemy and should rather flee than engage. The point of having a weapon on the ARV is therefore useless.

More about the weapons.
I've never seen the bergpanther with the 20mm and the spade att the same time. Allthough there is pictures out there with the spade and the cannon shield such as this one. Note the nonestandard spade.
