| Main differences can be achieved but will take work that is not all that easy. Some like the added rear stowage box and exhaust deflectors can be gotten in the older Eduard set for the Tamiya kit but might need some work to get it to fit right. There are some added grab/storage rails on the engine deck and that about does the hull unless you want to add the sand shields too. You can get these and some of the parts for the turret from the old Tamiya kit but these too will need some work to get to fit I'm sure. I know for a fact that the sandshields are too short as is to be expected as Tamiya hull is too short. For the turret you will have to change the set up for the grousers and then add the folding AA MG mount and shield to the right side of the turret these might also be in the Eduard set mentioned above. Chris Hughes at Tankmans tank pictures has an excellent walk around CD that will show you all you need here to complete these changes correctly. One more thing that needs to be changed is the turret roof hatch lock on the left hatch (left being drivers side of tank) needs to be moved and the support added under and between the hatches added. There might be more as this is just a quick list out of memory. Karl. |
