Hi Tom
The photograph,at least the vehicle on the right of the photo, shows applique armour. The applique armour is clear on the turret and port side of the hull - cast in or welded, this is not too clear, but looks to be too prominent to be cast into the hull. Also, I can't detect the gun cradle on the hull, yet the vehicle at left does seem to have one under the spare wheel - the top of the cradle can just be made out(?)
The variety in Sherman configurations makes life hard for us Sherman modellers, but certainly interesting!
I intend ordering the kit direct from Tasca, which usually works out cheaper and they provide a damn good service.
Regards
Robert |
