I'm not an expert on Shermans and it's not my "favourite tank" but I like them very much. Perhaps it's just that vastness of variations and when choosing which Sherman from which army on which theatre of operations. The possibilities are almost endless when remembering that they were used in the Middle East wars too. That's what fascinates at least me.
