I am probably wrong here, having not made a deep study of the Sherman as of yet. But is the picture here (and the other two in this thread as well) flipped? I was under the impression that the coax mg was in front of the loader's position, and that was on the left hand side of the turret. Looks here like the coax mg or some similar appearing cylindrical protuberance is coming from the right hand side of the turret, in front of the gunner and t/c positions.
Or is that an extension for the sight? Inquiring minds need to know, I have the new Tasca M4A1 approaching in a UPS truck as I type!
