Hi Glenn

The Borgwards were used in specialised companies and battalions established by the Wehrmacht, but some companies (Panzerkompanie (Fkl) 315 and 4./301(Fkl)) were assigned to the SS divisions "Hohenstaufen" and "Hitlerjugend" during the battles after "D-Day" in the Normandy until the first half of August 1944.

There's a thread "Die deutsche Funklenktruppe" on Panzerarchiv.de which deals with this subject quite thoroughly, covering all the units using these remote- and radio controlled demolition tanks. Alas it's all written in German only.
I haven't looked yet, whether there is something similar in English.
I found some essays, but they were quite vague in regard to specific details.

I've found two books indeed which contain a lot of pictures and historical data, but they are pretty expensive for just answering a single question.

The titles are:
"Funklenkpanzer: The History of German Army Remote- and Radio-controlled Armor" Markus Jaugitz, Waldemar Trojca, Jean Restain, JJ Fedorowitz Publications, 610 pages, about 123 US$ (reviewed on missinglinx.com) and
"Demolition Tanks at war" Wademar Trojca, Markus Jaugitz, Model Hobby, 320 pages, about 60 US$.

The latter is the newer one and has some pictures which you'll not find in the first book but basically both books are more or less the same exept the amount of pictures contained.

I hope this information of some use to You.

Cheers

Arun Bauer
