Subject:  Sherman VVSS track blocks mismatched patternsList thread.

I can't remember ever seeing a picture of a Sherman that DIDN'T have a matching track block design pattern ---- all of the same type.

At last count, I found 15 designs (not counting grousers or duckbills or HVSS track blocks).

There had to be cases where a crew took good track off of a damaged tank to replace damaged tracks on theirs, even though they didn't match the design on their tank. It happened with road wheels a lot, so why not track block patterns?

Yet I can't find any pictures to prove my theory.

One picture will be worth a thousand words. "Thank You" are the first two.
