Both of you misunderstand. This isn't what i mean at all. I know tow shackles are 'U' shaped. it is the device that attaches the tow cables to the shackles that I am interested in. The attached pic shows one on the tail of a cromwell. it is not very clear, but it is the best i have. If you look at well-known photos of the Centaur called Hunter, this also has one, but again it is not very clear how it works (to me at least).
