There are a couple images I have seen of the same late model SdKfz 222 (from 10th PD?) being loaded into a Gigant bound for Africa in 1943. Possibly in Sicily (and possibly it didn't make it).
(1) "Koku-fan 66". Sitting outside waiting, vehicle seen from the left rear.
(2) "Niemieckie Samochody Pancerne 1921-1945", by Skotnicki. The vehicle is seen from the right rear driving up the loading ramp. The license plate and other ID were edited out of this shot.
(3) "Panzer-Grenadier, Mortorcycle & Panzer Reconaissance Units", by Scheibert. Close up of the vehicle's right rear while it waits. Shows the license plate. Great view of a huge grapling hook hanging from the 222.
