Keep this in the back of your head when modeling 1/35th scale...

1 / 35 = 0.028" or close to 0.03" OR about 0.7mm

So figure 0.35mm for a 1/2 inch rivet... Roy was right on the money as always.

I understand what you are going threw as I like to add small details myself. The tedious part isn't making the calcs... It's physically placing the rivets on the wheels! Good luck.
