Charlie,
Best source on a British Priest at El Alamein is probably the excellent article in "Military Modeling" magazine, their 2008 "AFV Special" Volume 38 #3
Add in a great modelling article by Steve Zaloga which shows how to improve the Academy kit even if not as a North Africa vehicle with lots of photos of the real vehicle as well and you have a setup which is hard to beat!
