hi
I have a book called panzer aces II.It says ''first king tigers received 14 may 1944''knispel took his place as gunner
503rd heavy panzer battailon transferred to france 6 June,11 June unit placed on alert,3rd company destroyed 11 tanks, knispel taking 2.30 july unit forced back to St lo
In the next part of book it says 'knispel picked up his weapon and helped shoot the way clear.the same day tank 124 broke down and on 18 August tanks 113,111,100 and 122 had to be blown upinside the pocket,on 20 August 2 of the last king tigers had to be blown up.Kurt Knispel climbed into the last king tiger as commander'
The fist paragraph is just parts of the book but the second is word for word hope this of any help to you Isorry it does not say which turret number was his possible 124 as it broke down and was not blown up???? |
