Just to echo what others have said, it's common in German for new (and apparently non-German) words to be constructed out of bits of others, just as it is for new ones to be constructed by bolting entire words together. The classic example is Gestapo - Geheime StaatsPolizei.
A quick word from pedants' corner - Stuka is Sturzkampfflugzeug, the "Sturz" meaning to dive - this is why units equipped with, say, Hs 123s were also known as Stuka squadrons.
