Subject:  T-49 Tracks, how were they made?List thread.

How did they make the Sherman T-49 Track? Were they all metal or were the track grouser bars imbedded in rubber?

I am assuming that most Sherman tracks were made with metal frames and then imbedded in rubber with the backs of the tracks that run against the idler being rubber on all of them.

It appears the T-49’s were rubber coated with metal grousers showing on the surface rather that all metal like those on a T-34.
