Hi Kurt,

Thanks for your continuous interest (and research) in this matter.

I think you may be on to something regarding misproportion, it may pay off to
check the general dimensions of the Tamiya kit and compare them with
measurements taken from a real vehicle. Mind you if the wheels turn out to be
just right and the rest of the vehicle too small it will still pay off to get
smaller wheels and therefore have a more visually pleasing vehicle. Unless you
want to keep the wheels and scratchbuilt the vehicle around them ;-)

The only possible hole in your reasoning IMVHO is all your data/specs comes
from documents as opposed to "the real thing", I have measured M8 tyres at
Saumur (also one might argue that those are postwar and therefore could be
different from WWII tyres but I don't give a damn because I want to model
postwar M8s and M20s) I have to find my notes convert the measurement to 1/35
and post them.

FYI, PSP will release an aftermarket set of M8/M20 roadwheels very soon it will
be interesting to see how they are dimensionally.

Cheers,

Christophe
