I just had a look at Jentz PanzerTract on Sf Flak, which is suspect you may

changed. My only comment is that Jentz said the Flak 37 had a "modified
mount" (I guess compared to the towed version) and that the mount was
changed for the Flak 43. Tom is usually very precisewith his words, so I
would take this to mean that the Sdkfz 7/2 did not use the std towed
mounting as issued to the towed Flak units, but rather had its own modified
versions, for both Flak 37 and 43. Presumably they modified the mount to
address the equivalent problem to that your experiencing.
If I was doing this cross-kitting I would find out how the mounting in the
Tamiya 7/2 varies from that in their Flak 37 towed kit and assume that these
were the same changes made for the 7/2 with the Flak 43.
