I've built the Academy Tiger 1 early exterior only model and it certainly is
great value for money and certainly looks the part. The rear engine deck
comes in multiple components to allow for removing parts on the exterior
model. So when you are assembling the rear engine deck make sure you let
these parts set in place on a flat surface before putting the deck on the
hull. Also be careful with the turret sides by making sure you test fit the
turret roof while gluing the sides together. So people insert a small shim
of plastic at the rear of the turret to get what they consider a better
profile.

The Tamiya kit does have slightly better detail and is more accurate on a
few small points (e.g the Academy Early exterior has late style tracks), but
nothing to get stressed about.

Cheers

Neville
