Mea Culpa. Well, there you go. I inferred it from page 295. I am wrong in
doing so. Just because

M4A3 rebuilds mentioned in H. Chester, Lima, Richmond, (281 total) and
Montreal Locomotive (400)
681 total. Pg 294.

The Only plant H. mentioned as doing the -E9 conversion was Evansville.
"About 1000 M4s and M4A1s were rebuilt at Evansville..." pg 295.

I drew the following conclusion: Since Evansville was the only one
mentioned doing -E9 conversions and it apparently wasn't rebuilding M4A3s,
no M4A3E9s were built. What I missed is the fact that H. didn't necessarily
have all of the data and that he just wrote about exactly what he knew, (and
didn't infer or extrapolate). I.E. "About 1000 M4s and M4A1s were rebuilt
at Evansville...". I am slowly learning how to be a historian/researcher.
I think this is how alot of the "never say never" stuff gets started, just
not being aware of the actual facts.

Come to think of it, all of the tanks used to film the "The Tanks are
Coming" were M4A3E9s.

When the conversions were added to the reman line? Any chance any made it
overseas?

Also, Kurt, I am about halfway through your drawing list. I am having about
50% sucess. The older drawings are the ones not showing up.
