Hi all,

Rutger and I have recently purchased Blast Model's DUKW tilt (see our
review here: http://www.track-link.net/reviews/993), and were wondering
about the rear part of it. Blast depict this as a metal piece with
hinges on it, but all photographs of the DUKW tarp that I have seen show
a simple canvas rear piece with only a window flap. Did this metal rear
end exist during WW2, was it a post-war mod or didn't it exist at all?
(or, in other words, should we get the moto-tool out?)

TIA,

Eelke Warrink
