The rear plate continued up into the upper hull and into the sponsons.
There was a screened opening at the top center where the exhausts came out.
Photo 28 in the Modeler's Guide to the Sherman shows this. There is a
drawing from the M4A4 manual somewhere on the web that is good as well. The
grill in the kit is a retracted deflector, similar to that on Ford M4A3s.
