Hi Kevin,
I've written a construction article on the M31 (Azimut conversion) years
ago. Some useful info maybe, check out the articles on this site.
There are two preserved M31s in good condition (all others are missing
items such as crane or stowage/fittings). One is at the Tsahal museum in
Tel Aviv, Israel - apparently was captured from Egypt -, and another one
in Argentina. The Argentinean one has numerous local mods though but would
make an interesting conversion if you are not hell bent on WW2.
There is a lot of useful info in the Technical manual.

PS : let us know how it goes with the Calibre 35 conversion, I bought one
and want to build it one day.
