Steve,
How did the numbering system used in the 6th Armored Division's tank
battalions work? How did it differ from the independant battalions or did
it vary from unit to unit? I have noticed that the 743rd seemed to have
numbered their tanks up to 19 in each company (2 through 19 perhaps),
presumably the peeps, and company trucks all had numbers in the same series
sionce the numbers seem to track with the "bumper" numbers in all of the
pictures.
